Picture Framing Course ISPF-01This is a one day course running from 10am - 5.00 pm. on Saturdays. Students will be notified by e-mail about the status of enrollment. What previous experience should I have? This workshop is aimed at complete beginners as well as those who may have tried to frame their own work in the past. There is no need for any experience using hand tools. We will teach you all you need to get going. The course is aimed at people who
Have limited or no previous experience of working with framing hand tools or have limited experience of framing and mounting pictures and would like to learn more. It is possible that you will be somebody involved in art, needlecraft, photography, or you might be interested in setting up a small home business, either as a hobby or professionally. What ever your reasons, during the course of the day you will be brought through the complete process of designing, planning and making a frame for one of your own pictures which is yours to bring home at the end of the day. Through clear explanation, demonstration and your own "hands on" practice, you will learn about:
You will also see and use specialized LOGAN tools of the trade. This means that, if you decide to purchase your own tools, you will do so knowing exactly what it takes to get the job done. What do I need to bring with me ? Bring to class a picture or photo no bigger than A4 paper size (about 11" X 8") so that you can make your own, professionally finished, framed art. Instructor Our courses are given by Donough McGivern who has over 7 years experience as a professional framer. |
